ReProcess Therapy
Who is a good candidate for EMDR?
It is a common misconception that EMDR is only used to treat people with PTSD or severe trauma.
EMDR can also be helpful for those experiencing anxiety, depression, fears, confidence issues, relationship issues, anger, grief, combat stress, performance anxiety, sleep issues, panic attacks, and sexual abuse; amongst others.
Whether you’ve experience complex trauma in your life, a big “T” trauma, some small “t” traumas, or just want to feel better than you do now, EMDR can help you reach your goals.
EMDR may also appeal to:
- someone who may have been to traditional therapy and didn’t quite get the results or lasting change they were hoping for.
- someone wanting to use EMDR as an adjunct to their current therapy, in order to break down more deep seeded barriers.
- someone who is not ready or able to commit to once a week therapy for several months or years.
EMDR has been proven to also be highly effective for kids and teens; who have fewer pathways to “clear”. Kellie enjoys combining EMDR with play and nature therapy in her work with kids.
When we have a clearer mind, we have a clearer path to navigate life’s challenges and discomforts. Kellie thrives on efficiency and understands the value of someone’s time. With that being said, therapy is a process and each individual has their own unique path and pace to healing.
