Many of us have been managing symptoms, thoughts, and physical sensations for so long that we think we are “fine enough”. Sometimes we are stuck in patterns and thoughts that we don’t even realize are detrimental to our health. Events and encoding that have taken place starting in early childhood have led to our negative core beliefs which have a direct impact on our ability to move forward, feel happier and healthier in life.
My clients often come to therapy feeling defeated, empty, or thinking that nothing they’ve tried has worked, but after some time working together, they often report feeling more capable, stable, lighter, and clearer thinking.

EMDR Therapy

By using bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements), EMDR reprocesses unprocessed memories and allows them to lose their emotional charge, promoting healing and emotional relief. Child & Teen Counseling
Kellie utilizes EMDR therapy to jump start a child’s ability to process emotional encoding and experiences. EMDR is beneficial in work with children because their brain is doing a lot of the work for them. It is not necessary for the child to accurately report their thoughts or memories to the therapist. Whatever they are experiencing as a result of EMDR internally is what their brain is processing.
